BISmanager
BISmanager as Central Client for BIS DB
The BISmanager controls the entire BISonXP solution. This application is used by key users to control and manage the data warehouse.
BISmanager provides all administrative functions for:
- customizing BISonXP
- access control
- maintenance (and enhancement) of data structures
- collating, exporting and calling up reports
- maintaining the OLAP cube
- generating calculated results from existing data (simulation, extrapolation, splash etc.)
- controlling data importing from source systems
ReportBuilder as Part of BISmanager
The ReportBuilder can easily transform data from the BISonXP database into any display format. This is especially suitable for creating reports with the BISonXP DataLink within Microsoft Excel. Reports are defined by their column structure.
The ReportBuilder is able to create a variable column layout, which can display data from the BISonXP DB in many different configurations. Furthermore, it offers a possibility of creating results from variable cells with an optional amount of columns that can be defined; as well as voluntarily definable rows and aggregations.
Reports created with the ReportBuilder are exported as a report file on the SQL server. These files can be converted into flexible and efficient reports, with an extended and relational database query form in Excel, using the DataLink.
