BISmod as Excel AddIn
Excel is the most important user interface for BISonXP. The BISmod Excel AddIn connects the functionality of the BISonXP database with the display capabilities of Excel. So, Excel turns from simple spreadsheet software into an analysis and evaluation interface, whilst simultaneously functioning as a generator for data entry screens.
With this AddIn, creating reports is no longer a task for programmers but for users, usually for controllers. The service includes not only a DataLink, which controls the relational queries, but also the capability of inquiring data from OLAP cubes. The queries can be extended by important functions such as DrillDowns or sub-total calculations, with particularly calculated columns and rows – or even transformation functions that can be operated easily.
Furthermore, the flexible and fast capturing of data to create strategies is essential for this AddIn. Our service offer is completed by a number of new BISonXP functions that behave like standard Excel functions, and fulfil the different tasks for writing and reading the BISonXP environment.
For applications related to real estate industry, BISmod offers specific functions, for example BISgetRent, a module that allows an extremely flexible rental income forecast; or BISgetInterest, a module providing a scenario analysis depending on the development of loan proceeds.
